Another song from the same session is expected to release next year. “Rise and Fall” was written by both groups sitting in the same room together (not such a difficult thing to arrange given that Callou and Krewella’s Yasmine Yousaf are dating). By contrast, their collaborations with Krewella are much more in-the-flesh. They remixed her song “Lullabies” earlier this year, though the two artists have yet to meet in person. “Gold” is Adventure Club’s second time working with Yuna. “While writing we tried to create music that was a perfect juxtaposition to the lyrical content: Something that was quite melancholic and ‘trancelike’ at first while Yuna sets up the storyline.”
“The song is really about keeping your head held high under any circumstance,” Srigley tells Billboard CODE.
